origin of long knife
Our name stems from US military history and legend. Continental Army Officer George Rogers Clark was given the moniker "Long Knife” by Native American tribal leaders as a sign of respect after witnessing his successful military campaigns that defied all odds against the British. The name has been carried on in military tradition through the US Army’s 4th Squadron of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment.
